|Lisa M. Teixeira, DVM|
Dr. Teixeira originally hails from Worcester,Ma and received her undergraduate degree from Mount Holyoke College in 1985. She moved to the South Shore after graduation from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. She worked at Hanson Animal Hospital until 2000 when she left to start a house call practice. In 2001 she purchased Pembroke Animal Hospital in order to preserve the independent small animal practitioner and allow pet owners a choice for their veterinary care. She provides full medical and surgical services for small and exotic animals. She also continues to provide house call services and after hour emergency care for her clients. Under her ownership Pembroke Animal Hospital has grown to a multi-doctor practice which provides quality, progressive veterinary care.
Dr. T lives in Pembroke with her husband Jay, three dogs, Cole, Panko and Boris, as well as two cats, Bill and NB. As an avid Patriots fan and season ticket holder since 1995 you will find her in Foxboro at Gillette Stadium attending home games. Also, since 2010 she has participated in the 2 day, 39 mile Avon Walk for Breast Cancer held each May. She also enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
|Jennifer J. Johnson, DVM|
Dr. Johnson graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. She completed her undergraduate degree at Bates College in 1988. She went on to complete an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital, Weymouth, MA in 1996. She has been at Pembroke Animal Hospital since 2008. She lives in Hanover with her husband Steve and 2 children. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a special interest in soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Johnson's outside interests include travel, running and caring for 3 dogs, 4 cats, 5 chickens and a tarantula named "Fluffy".
|Michelle A. Belvin, DVM|
Dr. Belvin grew up in Cumberland, RI and received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003. After college, she worked as a veterinary technician before entering veterinary school. She received her veterinary degree from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She then completed a one-year rotating internship in small animal medicine at Tufts V.E.T.S. in Walpole, MA. Dr. Belvin's professional interests include internal medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology, and exotic animal medicine. Dr. Belvin lives on the South Shore with her husband, Ben, their 2 cats (Moxie and Mattie) and 3 guinea pigs (Sophie, Ginny and Ruby). In her spare time, Dr. Belvin enjoys reading fiction and biographies, cooking and restoring antique furniture.
MaryLou is a Certified Veterinary Technician who has been in the veterinary field for many years. She originally started her career at Pembroke Animal Hospital under Dr. Sniff then worked for Dr. Cicarelli at Ashdod Animal Hospital before returning to Pembroke Animal Hospital in 2003. She lives in Plymouth with her husband, Russell, and her 2 cats, Norman and Bates. In her spare time she enjoys reading and walking.
Chris is a Certified Veterinary Technician, graduated from Becker College in 1992. She has worked with Dr. Teixeira for many years and has extensive veterinary technician skills. She lives in Middleboro with her husband, Ed, two daughters, a Dalmatian named Stuey and a few fish.
Allison joined the staff at Pembroke Animal Hospital in May 2010. She is currently working as a receptionist. Initially she started a career in nursing, however her love of animals redirected her toward a life surrounded by animals at work as well as at home. She lives in Pembroke with her husband, Lorne, has 3 children, 3 grandchildren, 1 cats and 3 dogs. In her spare time she enjoys her grandchildren, kayaking and the beach.
Linda, has been at Pembroke Animal Hospital since it opened in 2001. She is currently the Office Manager and has over 20 years experience working within animal hospitals. Prior to this she worked at the Blue Hills Trailside Museum in Milton, MA. Aside from her office duties there she had the opportunity to raise and care for all types of wildlife local to the region. She has a love for all kinds of animals and enjoys sharing her pet experiences and listening to others. She lives in Hanson and enjoys spending time with her husband, Dave, three children, five grandchildren as well as three cats and a retired Greyhound.
Bob is a veterinary technician who has worked with Dr. T for many years and has been at Pembroke Animal Hospital since 2002. As the only male staff member he often jokes that he needs combat pay. When not rescuing and releasing spiders he spends his free time playing paintball and computer games. He has a cat named Jade that loves to wake him up at 5:00am to be fed....NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Debby is one of our full time receptionist. She has been in the animal care field for15+ years. Her experiences range from animal rescue to veterinary receptionist. She lives with her Australian Cattle Dog, Boomer and two cats Cali and Lil' Roo.
Lorraine is one of our full time receptionists. She comes to us with over 25 years in the service industry and has worn many hats in different fields in her professional life. Music, movies and mysteries are her passion.
